Revenue Types
Revenue Types is a fiscal catalog that classifies your sales according to the code your country's tax authority requires. It's used when entering Credit Invoices and Cash Invoices, and it feeds the sales-related fiscal reports you must file (for example, Form 607 in the Dominican Republic).
What is it and what is it for?
Each record in this catalog has a Fiscal Code (for example "01"), a Name (for example "Operating Income") and optional internal notes. When entering a Credit Invoice or a Cash Invoice, you can indicate which Revenue Type the transaction belongs to; AdmCloud uses that data to classify the sale in your fiscal reports.
In the Dominican Republic, AdmCloud automatically seeds, the first time you open this catalog, the 6 official codes required by the DGII for Form 607: Operating Income (Non-Financial), Financial Income, Extraordinary Income, Leasing Income, Sales of Depreciable Assets Income, and Other Income; you don't need to create them by hand. If you leave the field blank when billing, the 607 report defaults to code "1" (Operating Income).

How to create a revenue type step by step
- Open the list and click New. You need the "add" level of the system configuration permission.
- Enter the Fiscal Code. It's required and cannot repeat with another revenue type already registered (10 characters maximum). If your country requires a specific code for your sales reports, this is the one to use.
- Enter the Name. It's required and also cannot repeat with another revenue type already registered (200 characters maximum).
- Add notes (optional) if you want to clarify for your team when this revenue type should be used.
- Save. The revenue type is immediately available for selection on your Credit Invoices and Cash Invoices.
Where it's used
- In the Revenue Type field of Credit Invoices and Cash Invoices.
- As a classification criterion in sales-related fiscal reports, such as the Dominican Republic's Form 607.

- No plan or Enterprise-module restriction was found for this screen; it's available on every AdmCloud plan.
- Access is controlled by the system configuration permission of your user group.
- In the Dominican Republic, the 6 official Form 607 codes are created automatically the first time you open the catalog.
- The Revenue Type field is optional when billing; if you don't select one, the 607 report defaults to the "Operating Income" code.
Tips and common pitfalls
If you operate in the Dominican Republic, don't create the revenue types by hand. AdmCloud automatically seeds the 6 official DGII codes the first time you open the catalog; only add extra types if your accountant tells you to.
It only appears on Credit and Cash Invoices. Unlike other sales-related fiscal catalogs, Revenue Type is not available on Quotes, Cash Receipts, or Customer Credit or Debit Notes.
Can't delete a revenue type? That's because it's already used on an Invoice. Reassign that reference (or void/edit the invoice if applicable) before trying to delete it again.
