606, 607 and 608 Fiscal Reports (DGII)

The 606, 607 and 608 Reports are the monthly formats the Dominican Republic's DGII (tax authority) requires to declare your purchases, your sales and the fiscal receipts (NCF) you voided during the month. AdmCloud builds each report automatically from your already-recorded transactions and generates the text file in the official layout, ready to upload to the DGII's online portal.

Module: General Ledger Requires the Journal permission (GL_JOURNAL) Dominican Republic only

What it is and what it's for

All three reports pull their data directly from documents you've already recorded (invoices, notes, expenses, payments and voids) — there's no need to type the information again.

Report 606 — Purchases of Goods and Services

Declares your purchases for the month to the DGII: Vendor Bills, Receptions, Vendor Credit and Debit Notes, Expenses and Account Payments that have an NCF or an Expense Type assigned. Each line shows the vendor and their tax ID (RNC), the invoiced VAT (ITBIS), the VAT subject to proportionality, the VAT carried to cost, the VAT to advance, the withheld income tax (ISR), the selective consumption tax and other taxes.

Report 607 — Sales of Goods and Services

Declares your sales for the month that carry an NCF: Credit and Cash Invoices, Customer Credit and Debit Notes and Cash Receipts. Each line shows the customer and their tax ID (RNC), the invoiced and withheld VAT, the revenue type and how the sale was collected (cash, check/transfer/deposit, credit or debit card, credit sale, gift certificates, barter or other payment form).

Report 608 — Voided Fiscal Receipts

Lists the NCFs you voided during the month (invoices, notes and other documents), together with the official DGII Cancellation Reason you picked when voiding each one (see Cancellation Types).

How to use it

  1. Open the report you need (606, 607 or 608) from Accounting → Fiscal Reports.
  2. Choose the Year and Month to declare. The current month is shown by default.
  3. Pick the Subsidiary if your company has subsidiaries enabled; it's required in that case.
  4. Adjust the report's own filters (see the key fields section below) and, if needed, a Date From/To range independent of the chosen month.
  5. Click Refresh to generate the on-screen detail with the selected filters.
  6. Check the errors column. Lines shown in red flag data the DGII would reject — for example, a payment date earlier than the document date, a zero amount, or a blank Expense Type. Fix them on the original document and regenerate the report.
  7. Pinpoint the error by line and column (606 and 607 Reports). The first column is Line, the consecutive line number within the report, and each column title shows, in small print above it, its column number in the official DGII layout (1 to 23). With those two values you can say exactly where a problem is — for example "line 45, column 9". The header repeats at the end of the report when there are many lines, so you don't have to scroll back up to read the titles. Report 608 needs no column numbering because it only has seven columns.
  8. Columns in Reports 606 and 607 are fixed. Their order and numbering are set by the DGII, so in these two reports you cannot drag columns to reorder them, nor hide or show columns (the Customize Columns link available on other lists is not shown here). That way what you see on screen always matches, column by column, the file you upload to the online portal.
  9. Download the file using the Text File Download link (the official DGII layout, ready to upload to the online portal) or Excel Download (for your own internal review), both using the same filters shown on screen.

Key fields per report

Report 606

Field What it's for
VAT Carried to CostPercentage (0 to 100) of VAT considered subject to proportionality when calculating the "VAT subject to proportionality" and "VAT carried to cost" columns.
Consider All Service VAT as ProportionalWhen turned on, applies the percentage above to all VAT invoiced on services, instead of only the proportional part.
Expense TypeFilters the report to a single Expense Type; leave it blank to include all of them.
Include Electronic DocumentsIncludes invoices with an e-CF (electronic fiscal receipt) in the report. On by default.
Exclude Electronic Credit Notes and Affected NCFsExcludes electronic credit notes and the NCFs they already affected, to avoid double-counting the expense. On by default.

Report 607

Field What it's for
Include Electronic DocumentsIncludes sales with an e-CF in the report.
Include Consumption Invoices Under RD$250,000Also shows, line by line, consumption invoices below the threshold the DGII requires detailed reporting for (RD$250,000 from July 2018 onward; RD$50,000 in earlier months). If left off, those invoices are only included in the summary.

Report 607 also produces two on-screen summaries: one compares invoices ≥ RD$250,000 against the overall total, and another breaks down the amount sold by payment method (cash, check/transfer/deposit, card, credit, gift certificates, barter or other).

Report 608

Only asks for Year, Month and Subsidiary; it has no extra filters, since it reports every NCF voided in the period.

Validations and line-level warnings

In Report 606, the Errors column lists every problem found on the line, not just the first one, and each message starts with the DGII column number it belongs to. For example "(3) Expense type cannot be empty; (7) Payment date cannot be earlier than the document date" flags two problems, in columns 3 and 7.

  • Subsidiary required: if your company has subsidiaries enabled, all three reports require picking one before generating data or downloading the file.
  • VAT Carried to Cost between 0 and 100: Report 606 rejects any value outside that range.
  • Payment date earlier than the document date: Report 606 flags the line in red if the payment was recorded with a date earlier than the invoice's or expense's date.
  • Zero goods and services amount: Report 606 flags in red any line whose invoiced goods and services amounts are both zero.
  • Blank Expense Type: Report 606 flags in red lines with no Expense Type assigned, since the DGII requires one.
  • Withholding with no amount: if the document has an ISR Withholding Type but the withheld amount is zero, Report 606 flags the line in red.
  • Unidentified payment methods (Report 607): if the payment-method summary shows an amount under "Not Identified", one or more Payment Methods is missing its DGII fiscal code; AdmCloud links you directly to Payment Methods to fill it in.

Availability and conditions

  • All three reports are only available for companies configured for the Dominican Republic, since they rely on concepts specific to that country (RNC, NCF, ITBIS).
  • Access is controlled by the General Ledger Journal permission (GL_JOURNAL).
  • They don't depend on the edition or on any additional Enterprise modules: they're available on any plan, as long as the company is Dominican.
  • Your company's tax ID (RNC) must be configured in Company Configuration, since it's included in the header of the generated file.

Tips and common mistakes

💡

Generate on screen first, then download. Review the errors column before downloading the text file: it's easier to fix the original transaction in AdmCloud than to edit the generated file afterward.

💡

Report 607's RD$250,000 threshold changed in July 2018 (it was RD$50,000 before). AdmCloud automatically applies the correct threshold based on the Year and Month you pick.

⚠️

Download button not generating the file? Check the error message shown — it usually means the Subsidiary hasn't been selected, or a line has invalid data (date, amount or expense type) you need to fix on the original document first.

ℹ️

The downloaded text file already matches the exact layout the DGII's online portal requires: upload it as-is, without opening or editing it in Excel or another program, so you don't break its structure.
