Web Store Pages

Web Store Pages are a catalog where you create your own content for your online store, such as "About Us", "Frequently Asked Questions", "Privacy Policy" or any other informational page. Each page has a name, HTML content and can be linked to one of your configured Web Stores.

Module: E-Commerce (Web Store) Requires the "Web Store Pages" permission

What is it and what is it for?

It's a simple catalog: each record is a Name (required and unique), an optional reference Web Store, an Html block with the page's content, and free-text Notes.

It lets you publish your own text content on your online store that doesn't change often (company information, policies, frequently asked questions, legal notices, and so on) without relying on a developer: you write or paste the page's HTML code and link it to the Web Store where it should appear. If your company has more than one Web Store configured, each page can be linked to the specific store it belongs to.

How to use it

  1. Open the catalog. Go to the Web Store Pages list, where you'll see every one you've already created, sorted by name.
  2. Create a new page. Use the add button, type the page's Name, select (if applicable) the Web Store it belongs to, write or paste the Html code for the content, and add notes if needed.
  3. Save. AdmCloud checks that the name isn't empty, that no other page already uses the same name, and that the selected Web Store, if any, exists.
  4. Review or edit an existing record. Click the name in the list to see its read-only detail, and use the edit button if you need to fix the linked store, the Html content or the notes.

Main capabilities

  • Alphabetically sorted list, with a read-only detail view for each record.
  • Free-form Html content, with no topic restriction: company information, policies, frequently asked questions, terms of use, legal notices, and more.
  • Optional link to one of your configured Web Stores, if your company runs more than one online store.
  • Free-text notes to leave internal comments about the page's purpose or maintenance.
  • Separate view, add, edit and delete permissions, controlled by the user group.

Key fields

Field What it's for
NameIdentifies the page. Required, up to 200 characters, and can't be repeated.
Web StoreThe online store (from your configured Web Stores) this page belongs to. Optional.
HtmlHTML code content of the page published on the online store.
NotesOptional free text to clarify the page's purpose or details.

Validations when saving

  • The name is required and can't be repeated across Web Store Pages.
  • The name can't exceed 200 characters.
  • If you select a Web Store, AdmCloud checks that it's an existing store.

Deleting

If another record in your company ever comes to depend on a Web Store Page, AdmCloud won't let you delete it while it's still in use: it shows a notice that the record is referenced, so you can remove or change that reference first before trying to delete it again.

Availability, plans and conditions

  • This feature requires the Premium Plus eCommerce plan, or the Enterprise plan with the add-on E-Commerce module enabled for your company. It isn't available on any other plan.
  • To view, create, edit or delete records you need the "Web Store Pages" permission (System Administration module) at the corresponding level (View, Add, Edit or Delete).
  • If your company doesn't have E-Commerce enabled, neither this permission nor the screen is available, even if your user group has it assigned.

Tips and common issues

💡

The Html field is plain text, not a visual editor. Type or paste the page's HTML code directly; there's no preview inside AdmCloud, so check the result on your online store after saving.

ℹ️

"A page with that name already exists." This message shows up if you try to create or rename a page with a name another record in the catalog already uses; pick a different name.

⚠️

Can't see this screen? Confirm your company has the Premium Plus eCommerce plan or the add-on E-Commerce module enabled on the Enterprise plan, and that your user group has the "Web Store Pages" permission.
