Simplified Transactional Annex (ATS)

The ATS is the monthly report Ecuador's SRI (tax authority) requires to declare your purchases, your sales, your exports and the receipts you voided during the month. AdmCloud builds the report automatically from your already-recorded transactions and generates the XML file in the official layout, ready to upload to the SRI's system.

Module: General Ledger Requires the Journal permission (GL_JOURNAL) Ecuador only

What it is and what it's for

The ATS pulls its data directly from documents you've already recorded (invoices, notes, exports and voids) — there's no need to type the information again. The report screen shows four tabs with a preview of what will be included in the final file:

Purchases

For each purchase document it shows the vendor (identification type and number, legal name, whether it's a related party), the document data (establishment, emission point, sequence number, authorization and dates), the taxable bases and taxes (base not subject to VAT, 0% rate, non-zero rate, VAT-exempt, ICE special-consumption tax and VAT), the withholdings applied by type of good or service (10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 100%), the withholding receipt data and, when the purchase corrects an earlier document, a reference to the modified document.

Sales

For each sales document it shows the customer (identification type and number, legal name, customer type, whether it's a related party), the document type and its emission mode (online or offline) with the quantity issued, the taxable bases and taxes (base not subject to VAT, 0% rate, non-zero rate, ICE, VAT) and the VAT and income tax that third parties withheld from you.

Exports

Details your export operations: the customer abroad and their tax regime, the country of effective payment, whether the income was taxed in another country and the tax paid there, the customs data (district, regime, sequence number, transport document, shipping date and FOB value) and the related sales document data.

Voided

Lists the receipts you voided during the month, with their type, establishment, emission point, the voided sequence range and its authorization.

How to use it

  1. Open the report from Accounting → Fiscal Reports → ATS.
  2. Choose the Year and Month to declare. The current year and month are shown by default.
  3. Pick the Subsidiary if your company runs multiple currencies by subsidiary; it's required in that case, so the report doesn't mix amounts from different currencies in a single total.
  4. Click Refresh to load the four tabs (Purchases, Sales, Exports, Voided) on screen with the data for the chosen period.
  5. Check the errors column on each tab. Lines flagged with an error point to data the SRI would reject; fix them on the original document and refresh the report again.
  6. Download the file with the Generate and Download XML File button. AdmCloud automatically names the file AT-MMYYYY.xml (for example, AT-012025.xml for January 2025).

Key fields

Field What it's for
Year / MonthDefine the period being declared. The report includes only transactions recorded within that month.
SubsidiaryRequired when the company has subsidiaries in different currencies, to avoid the report adding amounts from different currencies into a single total. If your user group is assigned to a subsidiary, the report always uses that subsidiary: when you don't pick one it's applied automatically, and picking a different one is rejected for lack of access.
Related partyFlags whether the vendor, customer or exporter is a related party of your company, a fact the SRI requires reporting separately.
Support code (Purchases)Classifies the purchase document type per the SRI's catalog (invoice, purchase settlement, credit note, etc.).
Withholdings by rate (Purchases)Break down the amount withheld from each vendor by the VAT withholding percentage you applied (10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 70% or 100%).
Modified document (Purchases)When the purchase corrects an earlier receipt, references the type, establishment, sequence number and authorization of the original document.
Emission type (Sales)Indicates whether the sales document was issued online or offline, along with the quantity issued under that mode.
Customs data (Exports)Customs district, regime, transport document, shipping date and FOB value of the exported goods, required by the SRI for this operation type.
Sequence range (Voided)Starting and ending sequence number of the voided receipts range under the same authorization.

Validations and warnings

  • Only your subsidiary: if your user group is assigned to a subsidiary, the previews and the XML file only include transactions from that subsidiary; picking another subsidiary shows a no-access message.
  • Subsidiary required: if your company has subsidiaries in different currencies, you must pick one before generating the file, so the report doesn't mix amounts from different currencies in a single total.
  • No errors on any tab: the XML file isn't generated if Purchases, Sales, Exports or Voided has any line flagged with an error; the message tells you which section has the problem so you can fix it first.
  • Valid company tax ID (RUC): it must have 13 characters and end in "001" (main establishment). If it doesn't, the download stops with the message "The RUC is invalid".
  • Company legal name: must be between 5 and 500 characters; otherwise the file isn't generated.

Availability and conditions

  • The ATS report is only available for companies configured for Ecuador, since its structure and catalogs are specific to SRI regulations.
  • Access is controlled by the General Ledger Journal permission (GL_JOURNAL).
  • Requires your company to have a valid tax ID (RUC) and legal name configured in Company Configuration, since both are included in the header of the generated file.
  • If you use Electronic Invoicing, AdmCloud automatically pulls the data from your configured gateway to complete the receipt information in the report.

Tips and common mistakes

💡

Check the preview before downloading. It's easier to fix the original transaction in AdmCloud (vendor, customer, withholding or receipt) than to edit the generated XML file afterward.

⚠️

File not generating? Check the error message shown — it usually means the Subsidiary hasn't been selected, one of the tabs still has lines with errors, or the company's RUC or legal name doesn't match the required format.

ℹ️

The downloaded XML file already matches the exact layout the SRI requires: upload it as-is, without opening or editing it in another program, so you don't break its structure.
